Hogan’s Farm is a family owned turkey farm and cooked meats plant based near Kells Co. Meath. They produce and supply fresh turkey, cooked turkey and other meats to irish butchers, retailers and foodservice customers throughout Ireland.
It all started over 50 years ago, when Martin and Teresa Hogan, who were dairy farmers at the time, decided to rear a few turkeys for Christmas. Their seasonal fresh Irish turkeys are reared by Hogan’s on their own farms, under their supervision. So unlike other turkey processing facilities and operators in Ireland and in most of Europe, who outsource their rearing capabilities, they can 100% guarantee the animal welfare of their birds and can fully trace from their farm to your fork. This is extremely important in the food industry and to customers. The furthest rearing house is 25 miles away which also reduces their carbon footprint in production which aids their sustainability programme.
They have been rearing for over 50 years and have become very passionate about turkey, and in particular the various breeds of turkey. In recent years they have worked with close partner’s in UK and America to develop and rear a breed specific to Hogans Farm turkey, this includes Bronze as well as White turkey.
