All beef is not created equal and our Butcher Box beef is a cut above.  We choose from the best breeds of cattle including Angus and Hereford which, combined with our skill in preparing the beef, ensures you get the best cut with optimum marbling. Our expertise as master butchers, the best beef available and a minimum 35-day aging process ensure the most flavoursome, tender beef for you.

Cooking instructions

Steak

Steaks can be cooked on a frying pan, griddle pan or on the BBQ. Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before you intend to cook it so that it warms to room temperature. Season the steak to taste with salt and pepper and brush all over with a little olive oil. Heat your pan / BBQ to a very high temperature. When the steak hits the heat it should sizzle and brown very quickly. Cook for approx. 3 minutes on each side for medium or continue to cook until the steak is cooked to your liking. You can add a knob of butter to the pan towards the end of cooking time for added flavour. You should increase or decrease the cooking time slightly depending on the thickness of your steak and how you like it cooked. Serve the steak with garlic butter melting on top.

Gratin potato

Remove film and place in a preheated oven. Cook at 180 degrees for 30 minutes or until piping hot throughout.

Mashed Potato

Remove sleeve and pierce film. Place the tray in a preheated oven. Cook at 180 degrees for 30 minutes or until piping hot throughout.

Baby potato

Remove film, the potatoes can be cooked in the foil tray or spread on a baking sheet. Place in a preheated oven at 180oC for 25 to 30 minutes.

Roasting Root Veg

Remove film, pour olive oil over veg, mix gently & place in the oven. Roast for 20-25 mins. The vegetables should be tender before serving.

Peppercorn & Bushmills Sauce

Place each sauce in a separate bowl and heat in a microwave for 1 minute, stir before serving.

Chicken Wings

Remove film. The wings can be cooked in the foil tray or spread on a baking sheet. Place in a preheated oven at 180oC for 20 to 25 minutes. The chicken should be piping hot (>75oC) before serving.
